The civil war in Yemen has forced over 3 million people from their homes. More than half of them are children. Families have lost everything – their homes, their possessions, and in some cases, their loved ones.
People of Yemen have fled to overcrowded refugee camps, where living conditions are dire. There is little food , water or medical care. Many children are malnourished and sick.
The displacement of people in Yemen has been described as the “worst humanitarian crisis in the world.” An estimated 24 million people, or 80% of the population, are in need of assistance. This includes more than 10 million children.
Step 2: Advocate for an end to the conflict and for the protection of civilians, including refugees. This can be done by contacting your elected representatives and raising awareness about the situation on social media.
Step 3: You can help raise awareness of the displacement crisis in Yemen by sharing information or this webpage on social media and writing to your local representatives to urge them to take action. You can also add your voice to Amnesty International’s campaign calling on all warring parties in Yemen to respect international humanitarian law.
Please donate to help the Yemen refugee crisis. Help the 3 million people that have been displaced and many are living in difficult conditions with little to no access to basic needs. With your help, we can provide them with the resources they need to survive and provide life-saving assistance to those who need it most. Every bit helps, so please give what you can.
