The Al Amal School Restoration Project
Restoring Classrooms. Rebuilding Hope.
An engineering assessment conducted in August 2026 found significant damage throughout Al Amal School, including deteriorated roofs, cracked ceilings, damaged walls, and missing or unsafe doors and windows.
Two classrooms require complete roof reconstruction, while six classrooms are experiencing cracks and rainwater leaks through their concrete ceilings. Many of the school’s doors and windows are also damaged or missing, leaving learning spaces exposed to harsh weather conditions and making it difficult to safely store educational supplies.
The school also has only one bathroom located outside the main facility, highlighting the urgent need for improved sanitation for students and teachers.
