The humanitarian food crisis in Yemen is deteriorating rapidly, with over 17 million people including children – more than half the population – now classified as food insecure. Of these, 7 million are on the brink of starvation. The situation has been exacerbated by a civil war that has been raging since 2015, as well as a blockade imposed by a Saudi-led coalition. This has led to a severe shortage of food, fuel, and medical supplies.Â
The United Nations has warned that Yemen is on the brink of a famine, and is appealing for urgent assistance to prevent it from becoming a reality. The situation is particularly dire for children, with nearly 400,000 suffering from severe malnutrition. It’s hard to imagine what it must be like to be a starving child in Yemen with the counter in the midst of a brutal civil war, and food is scarce. No child should have to go though this kind of suffering. We need your help thought donations, to do everything we can to help the children of Yemen. The Yemen malnutrition crisis is a humanitarian crisis in Yemen. It is caused by a lack of food, and by the outbreak of conflict and violence. According to the United Nations, more than 17 million people in Yemen are food insecure. This includes more than 7 million people who are severely food insecure, and at risk of starvation.Â
The food crisis in Yemen is getting worse by the day. Families are struggling to find enough food to eat, and many are going hungry.Â
The Yemeni government and the international community need to do more to address the food crisis in Yemen. The first step is to make sure that food can reach Yemen. The second step is to provide food assistance to families who are struggling to put food on the table. Only by taking these steps will the food crisis in Yemen be alleviated.

While the international community has responded with some aid, it is not enough. Much more needs to be done to avert this catastrophe. Here are some ways you can help:
1. Donate to organizations working on the ground in Yemen, such as the Humanity For Relief & Development (HRD). We have multiple different relief projects designed for many specific issues.
2. Call on your government to provide more assistance to Yemen. You can also pressure them to put pressure on the Saudi-led coalition to lift the blockade and allow humanitarian aid in.
3. Raise awareness about the crisis. Share this web page and others like it to help spread the word.
4. Keep updated on the situation and continue to pressure your government and the international community to take action.
