Did you know that one in three Yemeni children is chronically malnourished? And did you also know that the ongoing conflict and blockade are making the situation worse?
Millions of Yemenis are struggling to put food on the table. The situation has even gone from bad to worse during the pandemic.
Humanity for Relief & Development is committed to helping Yemen during this difficult time. We are working hard to provide food and other much-needed assistance to Yemenis.
Humanity for Relief & Development is working to provide food and aid to those who need it most. One of our most effective projects in executing this objective is the Mercy Bakery in Sana’a. This bakery provides loaves of bread to thousands of people each day.
Our impact has only been possible through the generous support of our sponsors. Sponsors from Michigan have been particularly instrumental in helping us provide bread to those who need it.
Through the work of our volunteers, we cut the cost of production to around 4 cents per loaf. This is a fraction of what it would cost to purchase bread from a local bakery.
Our staff conduct home visits to assess the needs of each family. The bread is then distributed to families in need.
The Mercy Bakery project is just one example of how your support can make a difference. When you donate to Humanity for Relief & Development, you help us provide food and other necessary assistance to the needy.
If you would like to help us provide food and aid to the people of Yemen, there are several ways you can do so.
You can donate on our website. This will help us continue providing food and other assistance to those who need it most.
You can also become a sponsor of the Mercy Bakery project. Your $50 donation could provide over 1200 loaves of bread. But we don’t limit the amount; you can donate a lower or higher amount.
